This Thursday Bart is participating in the TEDxGhent PhD Contest. He was selected as one of the twelve contestants and can win a spot on the stage of the TEDxGhent main conference in June. In his dissertation, entitled Finding the online cry for help. Automatic text classification for suicide prevention, Bart studied the automatic detection of suicide-related messages. He presents the first classification-based approach to online suicidality detection of Dutch user-generated content. Register for the event here.
