Colin is a post-doctoral researcher on the ANNOPHIS project, where he is responsible for developing the machine-learning component that will bootstrap and enrich new data. His work sits at the intersection of Natural Language Processing and historical linguistics, with a particular focus on ancient and Byzantine Greek.

Colin completed his PhD under supervision of prof. Els Lefever and dr. Ilse De Vos. His PhD project was embedded in the project on Interconnected Texts. A graph-based computational approach to Byzantine paratexts as nodes between textual transmission and cultural and linguistic developments, an interdisciplinary project in which LT3 joined forces with the Database of Byzantine Book Epigrams and the Database, Document and Content Management research group.
