Sabien Hanoulle

Sabien Hanoulle conducts a research project on the efficacy of translation-memory software for the translation of documentaries. In this research, she wants to contribute to the study of this complex form of audiovisual translation by investigating whether the terminology used in documentaries is specific enough to be detected accurately by automatic terminology-extraction systems. Furthermore, it aims to determine whether the integration of the resulting term lists into a domain-specific translation memory will reduce the translator’s workload.
