The Corpus of Historical Low German (CHLG) is a project to create a corpus of the Middle Low German (MLG) and Old Low German (Old Saxon; OLG/OS) languages. As well as making available a large number of texts which are otherwise difficult to access, it is envisaged that the material will be tagged for parts of speech and syntactically parsed, following the standards of the Penn Corpora of Historical English. The bulk of the project will be funded by a FWO Hercules grant of nearly € 400,000, awarded from 2014-2017
